RECORD OF
SITUATIONS
This educational coaching technique consists of the student
scoring from 1 to 10 their level of satisfaction in different areas that
directly influence academic results: study environment, organization, didactic
material, study time, interpersonal relationships, motivation, help, etc.
It will allow the teacher to know the current situation of
the student and establish actions to improve those areas that most require it.
Situation:
At first glance, anyone would say that Virginia has the
perfect life:
• She has family and friends who love and support her.
• A wonderful couple that she is about to marry (and they
already plan to have children).
• They are both lovers of hiking, and every weekend they go
on a route with their dog.
• She has been working in the same hotel for many years and
has risen to a position of responsibility. Her salary, together with that of
her partner, allows them to live without worries.
In fact, many people around her have told her that they envy
her and that they would like to be in her place... But even so, she feels that
something is wrong.
The problem is that she is not able to identify what.
After doing a couple of Google searches and reading several
articles, she ends up finding an exercise called "the wheel of life",
and that she thinks she can find useful.
So you decide to put it into practice.
LEARNED LESSONS
What was achieved?
Identify that Virginia, despite apparently having
everything, does not feel satisfied since she may feel that her life lacks
meaning.
What was not
achieved?
Virginia could not identify what is failing or what is
missing in her life to feel completely happy.
How can we
improve?
Virginia can improve by doing yoga activities, relaxation
techniques and drawing up a list of her strengths and weaknesses that allow her
to identify the differences between her strengths and what you want to achieve
her professional and personal goals, as well as relaxation techniques, They
help her relax and pay attention to the important things in her life, so she
can prioritize them, she can also take the time to disconnect for a moment and
focus only on her, so she can reconnect with herself and thus see the reality
that surrounds her and change the negative attitude she has towards life, in
order to take the initiative and curb her negative thoughts.
